Photographer & Visual Artist


Born in Frankfurt and raised between Germany and Spain, Alex Koch García’s visual practice is shaped by art, architecture, design and photography. With a background in art, communication design and architecture, he brings a strong sense of composition, structure and visual storytelling to his work. His photography combines precision with experimentation, exploring colour, texture, reflection and light. Alongside his artistic practice, he works in photography and art direction, developing visual concepts and photographic projects for individuals, companies and cultural institutions. His independent work is presented through exhibitions, publications and limited editions, while his commissioned work includes portraiture, editorial and cultural projects.

Books & Publications


Books and publications are an integral part of Alex Koch García’s photographic practice. They allow him to develop and extend photographic projects beyond the exhibition space, bringing together images, sequencing, text and design in a more intimate form. Conceived, photographed and designed alongside selected projects and exhibitions, these publications are created as independent works and released in limited editions.

Fragments of Memory (2026)


Created during a journey to Venice, FRAGMENTS OF MEMORY captures impressions, encounters and fleeting moments. The publication reflects on how places, time and personal perception transform into fragments of visual memory.

Evocación II (2025)


A photographic exploration of Madrid, a city deeply connected to my personal history. Created alongside exhibitions within the context of Kunst privat!, the two volumes mark a transition towards a freer and more intuitive visual language.

Evocacíon I (2024)


Part of the same series, this volume focuses on experimental photography developed through light installations. Working with projected and manipulated light, the images explore how light can alter space, form and the photographic process itself.

A personal publication created for friends, clients and collaborators, combining selected photographic works, encounters and visual stories — including a journey to New York and a collaboration with a model and interview.
